What is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)?  Definition below:

Otherwise known as a talent management system, an applicant tracking system is a type of software used by Human Resources to manage applicant data during the hiring process. An applicant tracking system can search applications through multiple job postings in order to filter out the best potential candidates for a position.

By using filters on keywords and parameters, an ATS program can automatically select and eliminate applicants. The applicant tracking system can ease the hiring process for employers, as well as candidates. Often, these systems can provide a platform to automate and initiate communication throughout the entire hiring process.
