Disability Leave

What is Disability Leave?  Definition below:

”Disability Leave is covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and allows workers leave time when there is a proven limitation which effects major life activities. Disability leave can be granted for physical or mental impairments.

Under the ADA, disability leave is covered in organizations with 15 or more employees. Short-term disability leave can be granted when sufficient evidence exists of a short-term illness or injury lasting a couple of months.
